Outside the Cave

OTC's 50+ Friendship Group 

Age is just a number so we aren’t sticking to ‘Magic 50’ too rigidly but what we do want is as many people as possible to come to our brand new group for some fun, friendship, activities and more.

Yoga (suitable for Beginners)

Develop effective coping skills and an improved sense of wellbeing through the practice of yoga. All classes are suitable for beginners. 
Class times: 
Monday 9.45-10.45am
Monday 7.15-8.15pm  
Wednesday 10-11 am (gentle) 
Wednesday 6-7pm
Wednesday 7.15-8.15pm (Yoga for Weight loss 6 week block)
Thursday 9.30-10.30am (Beginners) 
Thursday 7.30-8.30pm (Yin/Yang 6 week Block)

Includes home practice videos, information on weight loss mindset and mindful eating.

Mindfulness for Individuals

As part of our 'Team Be' National Lottery Community fund award, OTC are able to offer 6 week Mindfulness workshops that will help you to combat excessive thinking that can lead to negativity and stress. 

This workshop will teach you the skills you need to feel calmer, happier, clearer, more connected and grateful. Mindfulness is proven to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and worry as well as many more emotional and physical benefits. 

Learn to take control of your wellbeing and happiness through the wisdom and practice of Mindfulness.
(every 6 weeks)

6 weeks of self love

A 6 Week course developed to continue your mindfulness and personal development practice. With a continuation of meditation and mindful techniques we will also discover the subconscious blockages that are holding us back. 

The course is designed to teach you how to step up for yourself everyday and what it takes to overcome self doubt and love yourself unconditionally. 
Thursdays 6-7pm

Holistic Weight Loss 

This course takes a holistic approach to weight loss and weight management. It will help you discover what’s getting in your way followed by the perfect step by step guide that will see you on the road to health and happiness. Using the MBS (mind, body, soul) approach to your health and wellness, you can reach your goals and look and feel the way you want to. Getting in shape physically and mentally doesn’t have to be a slog! With the right information and perspective you can begin to enjoy taking care of your mind, body and soul.

Six Weeks of Tai Chi

Tai Chi has a range of amazing health benefits and if you have never tried it before then why not come along to this friendly, six-week starter class Tuesdays 2-3pm. A new course begins every six weeks. Contact us for next start date or for more information using the link above or book below.

Team 'Be' Ready for School 

As part of our National Lottery Community Fund 'Team Be' project, OTC invites local schools to take part in our 'Be' Ready for School wellbeing events that take place at the start of each term. We provide a broad range of mindful and wellness activities to encourage confidence, creativity and emotional resilience in our younger community.

Boxing and Circuits Fitness

Boxing and circuit fitness class, no contact, pad work. Friendly and supportive environment, suitable for all abilities.
Class Times: Monday 6pm-7pm 
£5 per session

Crochet Club

Learn to crochet as a beginner or develop existing skills. This friendly group gets together on a Tuesday evening 6-8pm and Wednesday mornings 10-12pm.

'Your Pace' (Walking Group)

 Would you like to join a walking group but are worried you won’t be able to keep up? If so don’t worry, our new walking group ‘Your Pace’ now runs Tuesday's at OTC.. We’d love as many of you to come along and join in as possible. We promise no one will get left behind no matter your age or ability - just turn up or drop us a message and we will get the coffee on 😊
